I am SO EXCITED to offer our 2nd giveaway for the week!!! YAY!!! Today, we have this amazing French Pillowcase set from ReveBedding!!
If you recognize the look or the name, that is because I loved this company SO MUCH that they were featured on the shabby chic bedroom post - HERE
Reve Bedding is a collaboration between two sweet ladies named Deb and Sandy. Their items are unique and beautiful, and through combining their past experiences, they have created a team which will undoubtedly find success on Etsy and far beyond!! Read more about their past ventures HERE
They have been an absolute pleasure to work with, and there work surely attests to who they are as people... professional and beautiful inside and out!
Here is their feature interview...
Who taught you your craft?
My mother taught me how to sew at a very young age.. I also had a fabulous production manager/pattern maker/sample maker for HOLLY HARP, a contemporary high design clothing designer that taught me alot of wonderful shortcuts and sewing techniques in the very beginning. Later I had many wonderful workers that have also shared with me their knowledge. I had one lady who worked for Emelda Marcos, wow. If you listen and watch and ask questions, you can pick up many things.
What other preparations and training did you receive?
I always say that I went to the school of hard knocks. Experience has been the best teacher for me.
What drove you to turn your passion into a business?
My mother had several high end boutiques during her lifetime, from costume jewelry, to contemporary clothing to designer shoes. I grew up loving beauty and had to add my own twist.
Who was the most supportive in your decision?
Well, of course my mother was extremely supportive and my friends of course.
What made you decide to start you shop here on Etsy?
Deb says... We love the Etsy venue as it brings some much wonderful talent together in one spot
Do you use any other platforms for your business?
Our new website was just launched this week... www.revebedding.com. Our bedding is also available online at www.pinkpigwestport.com which is Debbie's online baby launched in 2006.
Do you have a best selling product?
Our best selling product is the French Double Ruffle Pillow Cases that say in French, “je taime” and “bon nuit”. This means "good morning" and "good night".
What do you think it is about that product that makes it so popular?
The bleached muslin is washed after it is sewn and printed. This gives it a worn look and very french country. The more wrinkles the better. Plus the price is very reasonable.
What have you found to be the best and worst parts of being a business owner?
The best part is the control and the worst part is the control.
What do you do in your spare time?
Taekwondo
Who influences you?
I get influences everywhere. I could be in an auto parts store and get an idea from the many parts there. Movies infulence me; and shoes. Shoes are always way ahead with color and style, so I follow shoe trends.
If you could have any job in the whole world, what would it be?
President of the United States
---- Thank Goodness neither are President! Then we wouldn't be doing this today, and one of you lucky readers wouldn't get this awesome set of French Inspired cases!
