Graphic Design - Great Prints with Great Color for little Girls

For those of you who have followed the blog for awhile, I imagine that you have come to learn little things about my personal style...even without me outwardly expressing them.  Two major aspects of my style are color and print.  Specifically a great graphic print. 

Whether it is a fruit, a zig zag, or circles, I love a nice crisp contrast of color on a graphic printed peice.

Valentine's Day for the Hipster Baby...

Turkey Tuesday!! - Turkey themed clothing and accessories for kids!

I have always thought that Turkey's were hilarious!! They are just goofy, awkward, animals... they have a matching reputation as well :) Some of my favorite Turkey themed entertainment is based on the Turkeys being the doofus of the domestic bird world.

Saturday with Dad!! - Summertime Means BASEBALL!!

Saturdays....ahhhhhhh...Maybe a chance for a little mommy alone time!! MAYBE.... If it is, and the kids are having a "daddy's day", dress them the part! Due to the time of year, that would mean, all baseballed out!

Some fashion forward people among us may say.."ICK!!!" However, I played sports when I was young. One day it was getting close to game time, and my coach knocked on the locker room door to ask if the team was ready for him to come in...we let him in and he looked over at me as I finished putting on my makeup before our basketball game. He said,"It's Basketball, not a fashion show!" I replied with a smile, "Everyday is a fashion show." Just because your playing a sport, it doesn't mean you can't look damn good doing it ;), and just because an outfit is sports themed, it doesn't mean it can't have style!!!

Back to School Beauty - Dresses for that First Day

At the beginning of every school year, there are nerves. Nerves from the kids, nerves from the parents, teachers, and everyone involved. I have found that I focus on making sure that my daughters feel ready to go, and one of the ways to do that is to talk about what to wear on the first day. It gives them something to focus on, and it's fun!!! Every little girl (and big girl for that matter) wants to feel on that first day of school!! Happy Birthday Little Man!! - Pirate themed Birthday

Despite having an Etsy site, and creating clothing, styling, etc....I am NOT a 'crafty' person. I am not a big fan of the traditional 'crafty' look.. I am more of a modern, straight line, no nonsense type person. If it is cute, it should be REALLY cute...like retro cute, or you are so talented I may vomit cute...(see yesterday's squirrel shelf and mirror)

Today is my youngest child's birthday. He is 3...which is shocking for me....WOW!! How did that happen so fast?!?!?! Anyway, even before he was born, my husband and I had discussed how it seemed that so many items that are geared toward baby boys were so girly!! Soft blue velvet onesie? PUKE!!! If I am having a little man, he is gonna dress like a little man. None of this sissy stuff ;) And boy were we ever on target. If we had put him in anything even remotely girly, even as a newborn, he probably would have punched the guilty party square in the nose.

On to the point....He requested a pirate party this year, so I decided that in honor of his birthday, today's styleboard will reflect both his party theme, and his taste...

Monday Magnificentness!! - Party-ready princess!!!

Now I know it has been a couple weeks!! BEEN CRAZY!! We are building a home, and all of the final decisions had to be made in the last two weeks or so.
